A study of possible effect of 2.45 GHz wireless body area network (WBAN) radiation on resting EEG rhythms and physiological parameters using wearable textile antenna
Abstract
This project presents the possible effect on resting electroencephalographic (EEG)
rhythms to the 2.45GHz Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) radiation of radio frequency electromagnetic fields exposure on human being and physiological parameters. The study aims to determine the effect of possible health effect on human being considering neurophysiological brainwave and physiological parameter such as blood pressure, heart rate, and body temperature. Three volunteers (3 males) are involved in the test and exposed to 2.45 GHz WBAN emitted by a pair of planar textile
patch antennas. Three sessions (pre, exposure and post) will be held on volunteers.
Investigation indicated there is significant or no significant difference in any of the three
sessions for all physiological parameters.
