This thesis presents design of ultra-high Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader antenna using microstrip patch antenna design to enable the proper function of reader in RFID application system. Patch antennas are low cost, have low profile and easily fabricated. Proper calculation of microstrip antenna dimension is important to obtain better result for good performance of the application. The purpose for this research is to design reader antenna with high gain that can resonate the desired frequency.Microstrip patch antenna technique is used for the size of calculation. Feed line microstrip method used to tune the input impedance to the desired value. The proposed patch antenna been simulated on Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio simulation software tool at resonant frequency of 910 MHz with a gain of 7.985 dB and return loss of -11.11 dB.en_US
