dc.description.abstract | A health staff at hospital or clinic is necessary to monitor the patient’s
physiological parameters especially for early stage high risk patient, elderly people, and
pregnant lady. The effective wireless communication devices and system have a
significant impact on the healthcare industry. This project is about a wireless medical
monitoring system that was developed to transmit and receive signals from patients vital
to health staffs system wirelessly. Zigbee was used to retrieve the data from
Programmable Integrated Circuit, which is connected directly with heart rate sensor and
temperature sensor and transmit to visual graphic user interface at personal computer.
The health staff can monitor patient’s status via available visual graphic user interface
through personal computer and send the data to patients e-mail address in order to make
effective for health staff to monitor the patient at anywhere and anytime continuously.
The patients or doctors are able to check the patient’s data via available online page by
using personal computer or mobile phone. Furthermore, this project can be minimized in
terms of cost installation, maintenance of wiring, power consumption, energy
consumption and speed of the system. | en_US |
