Dengue and food poisoning are two of the major threats to the public health. These two discases should be taken seriously as it could lead to lethality in some cases, especially in infant or senile. Even though approaches had been practiced continuously but the problem still exists and cannot be fully eradicated. Hence, the further endeavour should always be implemented. The current prevention approach of preventing dengue is to use the repellents thah usually contain the active ingredians Diethylmetatoluamide (DEET) whitch process a significant level of toxicity that may endanger to public health. To overcame the food poisoning problem,on the other hand, antibiotics have been used wisely. The prolonged usage of antibiotics is however bringing an unfavourable side effect asthe bacteriaare noe developing the antibiotic resistance. Hence, it is beyond all doubt that the efforts of delevoping of a new larvicide and bactericide is worth striving, and the Cerbera odollam fruit extract is being used as a candidate for this study.en_US
