The research presented in this project concerns the sources of harmonic distortion (loads) and the interaction between those and the propagation of the distortion in the power system. Effects on the power system are also studied, e.g. additional losses, harmonic resonance and related financial costs to this. Further, mechanisms affecting the harmonic active power flow, in a certain point, are shown. The project is focus on how to measure the harmonic (zero sequence) on the load current. The increased losses due to harmonic distortion can cause excessive losses and hence abnormal temperature rise. The measurement of losses of three-phase transformers is important in particular for transformers feeding nonlinear loads.en_US
