Synthesis and characterization of Corroded anodized coating of Titanium base alloy, Austenitic steel and Aluminium base alloy commercially used
Abstract
Involving this project, several techniques used to study the morphological structure as well as characterization of corroded anodized coating of titanium base alloy,
austenitic steel and aluminium base alloy commercially used under different service
condition and/or environment /medium. General case studies, will concern the test
samples of corroded anodized coating of titanium base alloy, austenitic steel and
aluminium base alloy that, collected from different locations of Northern Corridor and
used under different service condition and / or different environment. This Study will
show that the causes of failures arise from service condition and / or environment to
which the test samples are exposed to during service. The synthesis and characterization
will be based on the morphologies of coating/passive layers on the surface of alloy by using metallographic testing, scanning electron microscope (SEM), or energy dispersive X-Ray (EDX).
