Modeling of wireless local area network using Discrete Event Simulator (OMNet ++ )
Abstract
In today’s communication life, it is commonly these short ranges networks are not wireless and still using wires such as copper cable or fiber optics in advance. But the situation just ended by creating messiness because the wires all over places and its not the best method of networking. By combining the wireless application and discrete event simulator, we can make a modeling of wireless networks and make researches about it. Discrete event simulation system primary application area is the simulation of communication networks. These researches can be made easier because it will just using a simulation method based on actual wireless networks design. Wireless communication allows greater flexibility and portability than do require a wire to connect user’s computer traditional wired local area networks. Unlike a traditional local area network, which to the network, a wireless network connects computers and other components to the network using an access point device. Users move freely within the cell with their laptop or other network device. Access point cells can be linked together to allow users to even roam within a building or between buildings. Wireless method also are the best for some reason and more preferred as an example when communicating between a person on their project and would like to keep the detail among themselves as secrets.
