This paper evaluates the performance of Adaptive Fuzzy Logic Control (AFLC) in the
process of controlling the attitude of an Innovative Satellite (InnoSAT) system. Y-Thompson spin
control is adapted to the satellite system as the reference input throughout the simulation. The basic
control structure is presented. The selection of the controller parameter, which proved the attitude
stabilization of the satellite, has been analyzed. The adaptive fuzzy control compensates for the
plant uncertainties and to increase the robustness of the controller. In the proposed controller
structure, an adaptive fuzzy control scheme is used to achieve the parameter tuning and the system
stability. The adjustment mechanism applied the technique similar to PID controller to minimize the
error and brings it to zero. The principles for tuning UOD of the input and output are proposed in
this paper. Simulation results demonstrate that the controller able to accomplished precise attitude
control based on the proposed method. The results show an AFLC can cope with the varying
operating condition.
