dc.description.abstractThis research proposed a novel antenna design with high efficiency for IEEE802.16 application. The novel antenna design is developed using aperture coupled technique known as multilayer antenna that separates the radiating element and the feed network. The radiating is excited by a spiral arm feed via a rectangular slot. This technique contributed to the low spurious effect that eventually increases the antenna efficiency. The antenna has successfully achieved high antenna efficiency of 83.74% and radiation efficiency of 85.45%. The proposed antenna has dimension of 100 mm x 100 mm. All design and simulation has been carried out using CST Simulation Software. The antenna is potential to be implemented for WiMAX antenna system.en_US
