This paper observed the potential of satellite imagery in soil compaction study based on the spectral analysis. The aim of this study is to produce the potential of soil compaction map through the measuring compactness level for implementation of precision agriculture. It analyzes the correlation between soil compaction data and reflectance data of the satellite image. The correlation analyzed in identifying the possible areas of soil compaction using regression methods. Kriging method was used as an interpolation technique in the prediction map of soil compaction derived from variable theory and statistical model. The highest correlation through the polynomial method of Landsat TM (Band 5) is 90%.
