This final year project will analyze the symmetrical voltage sags and short interruption on the induction machines behavior: current, voltage torque and speed loss. These effects depend on several variables like sag magnitude and duration, type of sag, and initial point-on-wave. A wide variety of sags will be analyzed for different magnitudes, durations, and the most severe initial point-on-wave, showing the machine sensitivity in magnitude-duration plots (sensitivity curves). Effect of induction motor due to short interruption will be seen by using different type of mitigation equipment. This comparison allows sags types to be divided into several groups. In general, the most severe sags are the symmetrical ones, and the least severe are the single-phase ones. This study basically to analyze the waveform of the voltage during short interruption, the effect in current and speed when the motor are subjected speed vs. time that caused by sag or short interruption. Generally in our days, there are three type of sag such as three phase fault which produce a voltage reduction in three phase electrical system, single phase fault where a voltage reduction in one phase in the electrical system and phase to phase fault where a voltage reduction in two phases of the electrical system together with phase angle jumps. From the experiment, a three phase induction motor will be test with variable value from nominal voltage. The waveform of speed of induction motor will take out by using tachometer software into computer.en_US
