This final year project is based on the demonstrated design methods with manufacturing process parameters that have enabled economical production of development of new copper rotors. This is require the experimental work of how to designing the rotor which are using AutoCAD drawings and manufacturing it by using Wire Cut Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) in teaching factory. The importance of AC induction motors is aimed at contributing to energy saving efforts which is due to induction motor efficiency and loss parameters using new copper rotors. New copper rotors were using mix material are compared with solid and existing aluminum rotor in terms of efficiency improvement and loss reduction capabilities because copper rotors resulted in higher electrical efficiency, slightly higher rotational speed, lower operating temperature while the aluminum has an advantage which will produce high input power and lower power losses but the rotational speed is decrease while given full load. From that research and development, the designation of new rotor was create by mix the aluminum and copper into the core to get high efficiency and also produce less power losses in 10 percent from the existing induction motor.en_US
