dc.description.abstract | Salak (Salacca zalacca) industries are expanding at demanding pace especially in Asian countries. An attempt to develop salak seed as husbandry feed/ingridient is reported. The optimum parameters for the production of Zalafeed™ were determined in this study i.e. temperature 40°C, moisture content 50% of dry weight and inoculums size 0.16 g fungus per g seeds. Through the incorporation of Rhizopus oligospora, the seeds have been develop into high fiber and protein formulation called Zalafeed™. | en_US |
