dc.description.abstract | This thesis is about the usage of a system to control and monitor a fan or more for
certain kinds of operation and application in real life. This is including on how to control the fan speed manually or by using temperature sensor. The system also can be use to switch ‘on’ and ‘off’ the fan automatically by using timer settings. The time settings depend on the current computer time system. Each speed can be setup with any values of temperature from 20 to 52 degree Celsius .Basically, the system consists of two parts, hardware and software. The hardware part is a combination of few electronic circuits. It consists of 3 main electronic circuits such as interface circuit, sensor circuit (LM35 & ADC0804) and microcontroller circuit (ATMEL 89C51). Visual Basic program version 6.0 and assembly code were the program that been used for the software part. Visual Basic
programming was the main program to control and interface the whole system. Every data
and information can be changed via this software according to the requirement that needed. Assembly code is used to convert the data from ADC device (8 bits) to Visual Basic code (5 bits) which used as inputs for the temperature settings. Inference from this application, the system was created for convenience and reduces some cost in certain applications and usages. The system is also able to solve few problems that occurred in industry and business field or daily life as well. | en_US |
