The behavior of wear for dry alloy A390 of
(aluminum–silicon) casting which constitutes 16% Si is
investigated. The lost of the wear rate is weighted and the
volume decreases with increasing speed of sliding as well as the
passage of sliding time. The coefficient of friction decreases as
sliding speed increases reaching to the steady state. It is
focused to be applicable under high temperatures for pistons
and cylinders using the pin on disc for different slide speed and
time.
