The stability of dolomite has been a subject of investigation because of the importance of it. Two samples, originated from Perlis and Ipoh were subjected to the test in order to investigate the property. DTA curves for both samples revealed that Ipoh dolomite had the first stage decomposition at 760OC and the second stage at 880OC. The Perlis sample experienced the first stage at 820OC and the second at 960OC. The curves were supported with the differences in the diffractograms taken when both samples were heated to 800OC, 900OC and 1000OC.en_US
