dc.description.abstractThis paper attempts to help the second language learners to enhance their oral interaction in order to develop confidence in speaking English through the use of games. This is because games offer more opportunities for pupils to interact in the English language. In this paper, the author will explain the role of English language in Malaysia before and after independence and explores the definition of games and the rationale. This research also highlighted the importance of enhancing pupil’s oral interaction by relating to language acquisition theory and principles of teaching English to young learners and also discusses how games can help in enhancing pupil’s oral interaction and build motivation in order to prevent such resistance.en_US
