    Abstract
Mathematica scientific computing environment is now recognized as the tool of choice at the frontiers of scientific research in engineering analysis and modeling, and it also provides a unique capability for interactive learning in technical education. Mathematica main capabilities and features can be extended to external programes via Math-Link such as NetLogo. NetLogo, one of the most widely used multi-agent modeling tools today, is a user-friendly environment for simulating complex scientific phenomena and includes 3D visualization, a Systems Dynamics modeler, a Robotics extension, and many more. This paper attempts to discuss the potential of delivering engineering mathematics instructions and explore teaching methods making use of NetLogo-Mathematica for the topics of Modelling & simulations. Learning strategies that include simulations, visualization and explorations could improve the students’ level of interest and ultimately improved learning outcomes.
