Unique solution of an infinite 2-system model of first order ordinary differential equation
Muhammad Arif Syazani, Mohd Yazid; Gafurjan Ibragimov
This work is to solve an infinite 2-system model of first order ordinary differential equations. The
system is in Hilbert space l2 with the coefficients are any positive real numbers. The system is
rewritten as a system in the form of matrix equations and it is first studied in ℝ2 where its solution
is obtained and a fundamental matrix is constructed. The results are carried out to solve the infinite
2-system in Hilbert space l2
. The control functions satisfy integral constraint and are elements of
the space of square integrable function in l2
. The existence and uniqueness of the solution of the
system in Hilbert space l2 on an interval time [0, T] for a sufficiently large T is then proven

This study is conducted at one of the largest nitrile glove manufacturers in Malaysia. The
company is facing some problems with delayed containers. This problem directly affects the
company’s profit. The objectives of this study are to identify the company requirement that is
expected to get to be fulfilled by the liner, to determine the priority for possible solutions and
efficient decisions using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and to rank the suppliers who fulfilled
the requirement and choose the best supplier. By choosing the best solution to pick the best liner
supplier, the company can evaluate how to implement a correct solution due to some criteria
such as responsiveness, features, price, quality, estimate-time of departure (ETD), and detention
to ease the operations. Using AHP methodology, a liner supplier known as MA was found to be
the best with the five criteria: responsiveness, features, price, quality, and ETD. This solution can
reduce the operational cost for the container and can deliver the goods on time to customers.
Furthermore, it can increase the satisfaction level of customers and it also builds a good
reputation for the company

Evaluation of hotel website and online accommodation booking platforms using Fuzzy TOPSIS
Nurfatihah Athirah, Rahmat
According to researchers in the field of hospitality management, online reservation systems can
improve the financial success of a business. Due to the advancement in technology, there are
numerous online accommodation booking platforms and hotel websites available. The ways
these websites promote themselves, their services, and the prices charged are different. In
addition, some websites still do not have the criteria to attract more visitors. This study aims to
determine the weightage of criteria for a hotel website and online accommodation booking
platforms and to evaluate and identify the best alternative among the hotel website and online
accommodation booking platforms. A case study is presented, where three alternatives; a hotel
website and two online accommodation booking platforms, are evaluated based on nine criteria.
The Fuzzy Techniques for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (Fuzzy TOPSIS) was
applied in this study. This method first determined the fuzzy evaluation criterion weights, and
the alternatives were ranked using the generated fuzzy weights. In conclusion, the hotel website
was ranked the highest compared to the other two online accommodation booking platforms.
Through a comprehensive review of this study, hotel management will gain a new perspective on
the customers’ need to improve the websites

Diagonally implicit extended 2-point super class of block backward differentiation formula with two off-step points for solving first order stiff initial value problems
Alhassan Buhari
A new diagonally implicit extended 2-point super class of block backward differentiation formula with two off–
step points is developed for the solution of first order stiff initial value problems. The method computes two
solution values with two off–step points concurrently at each integration step. The method is of order five. Sets of
different formulae can be generated from the method by varying a free parameter
−( ) 1,1
in the formula. A
specific choice of the value of the parameter
within the interval is made and the method is found to be
consistent, zero stable and convergent. The region of absolute stability is plotted and it indicated that the
method is A-stable. The numerical results obtained demonstrated efficiency of the new method when compared
with some existing implicit numerical block methods. The developed method performed better than some
existing algorithms in terms of accuracy and competes with others in terms of execution time
