Fuzzy logic control for non linear car air conditioning
Mohd Fauzi, Othman; Siti Marhainis, Othman
A practical application of a fuzzy control system for a non-linear air conditioning system in the automobile climate control system was carried out and the simulation results are presented. Temperature control in an automobile passenger environment is more complex than that of a static room in a building. With regards to both driver and passenger comfort and safety, a lot of factors must be taken in account. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to study the implementation of fuzzy logic control in automobile climate control system compared to the existing state flow controller.

The Hearing Impaired People (HIP) cannot distinguish the sound from a moving vehicle approaching from their behind. Since, it is difficult for hearing impaired to hear and judge sound information and they often encounter risky situations while they are in outdoor. If HIPs can successfully get sound information through some machine interface, dangerous situation will be avoided. Generally the profoundly deaf people do not use any hearing aid which does not provide any benefit. This paper presents, simple statistical features are used to classify the vehicle type and its distance based on sound signature recorded from the moving vehicles. An experimental protocol is designed to record the vehicle sound under different environment conditions and also at different speed of vehicles. Basic statistical features such as the standard deviation, Skewness, Kurtosis and frame energy have been used to extract the features. Probabilistic neural network (PNN) models are developed to classify the vehicle type and its distance. The effectiveness of the network is validated through stimulation.

The Malaysian cockle (Anadara granosa) shells have a
potential to be used as bone filler and bone graft for non-load
bearing bone application. In this project, the effect of particulate
size on mechanical strength of Anadara granosa’s bioceramic has
been studied. The influences of particle size on mechanical
strength are tested in order to determine the efficient particle size
of Anadara granosa powders that suits the load bearing
application of bone. Green bodies of Anadara granosa were
prepared from Anadara granosa powders with different particles
size (150, 300 and 600 μm) and sintered at 7000C. The
morphological characteristic studied using scanning electron
microscope (SEM) and the diametral tensile strength test was
employed to characterize the effect of particulate size on the
mechanical strength of Anadara granosa bioceramic. Result
obtained shown that Anadara granosa bioceramic with
intermediate particulate size and low porosity able to withstand
high mechanical strength. Thus, it is suitable for cancellous bone
substitute application.

The growth of technology requested higher
performance tools in order to fulfill human needs and market.
This system is implemented to make human work easier
besides can reduce the usage of human power and because of
its potential application. The development of automatic car
license plate recognition system will resulted greater
efficiency for vehicle monitoring system. Car plate recognition
systems are used commercially, both in overseas and locally.
In Malaysia, however the usage of car plate recognition
system is restricted to the ordinary car plates. Therefore, this
system is aimed for implementation of a recognition system
for Malaysian car plates. This system is implementing by
using MATLAB 7.9 Image Processing Toolbox. In this
project, an automatic license plate recognition system is
proposed for Malaysian vehicles with standard license plates
based on image processing, feature extraction and neural
networks. The image of a car will be taken and then it will
start from the image preprocessing. After finish the
preprocessing the information of the character in the will be
extract. The information get is used as input to the neural
network and the system start to classified the data.
