Abstract: Liquid waste containing chemical material was produced by batik industry as a result of their laundrying process. One of the chemical in batik wastewater is fabric dye. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) has potential application for removal the toxic compound from the batik wastewater. TiO2 is an effective in removal of toxic compound, reusable and simple to produce. In this research, TiO2 nanoparticle was prepared by sol-gel method. Initially, TiO2 was prepared with different concentration 0.1M, 0.2M and 0.4M which has been spin coating in silicon substrate and annealed at 500oC. The sample then was immersed in fabric dye diluted with deionized water in 3 days. The crystallinity and marphology of TiO2 thin film was analyzed by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) respectively.
