Abstract: Along with the advancement of technology and the evolution of the electronics appliances, the device’s temperature fault issue is still not properly solved. Temperature monitoring and controlling is not only vital to prolong the life span of the devices but also as the safety precaution especially in the laboratory where surrounded by mass and expensive electronics appliances. Those appliances require operating in long hours. However, the electronics devices are sensitive to the surrounding and internal temperature. The widely change and unstable temperature will easily spoils the device or even lead to fire disaster when the temperature excess the maximum or minimum of the device’s temperature tolerance ranges. A normal thermometer does not provide temperature alarming and environment control capability. Thus, a real-time temperature monitoring and control system is a need. The developed system will monitor and control room temperature according to the user setting without affects to the internal electrical component. The design can be used it as a full system or separated uses for variety purposes such as temperature detector, alarm capabilities and room temperature control. Besides that, the developed system is portable where it is flexible to place to the appliance with high risk of temperature fault. The system design is through the detection of room temperature by the digital temperature sensor and sends the data to microcontroller. The developed algorithm will process the data and give command to the controller outputs. The activated controller output will respond accordingly to control the room temperature.
