Abstract: This paper proposes a referencepulse Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) parametric curve real-time interpolator parallel algorithm using parallel programming. The algorithm uses an Open Multi-Processing (OpenMP) Application Program Interface (API) in C/C++. The parallel interpolator algorithm is based upon finding the fastest execution time while maintaining machining accuracy. The previous interpolator and OpenMP capabilities are studied. The findings indicate that there is no better method to parallelize dependent “while loop” interpolator algorithm program using OpenMP version 2.5 and only one thread is sufficient per Central Processing Units (CPU) or core.
