Abstract: Single pole double throw (SPDT) switch is commonly used in radio frequency (RF) transceiver system for time division duplex (TDD) operation of digital communication system. The proper selection of SPDT switch topology or configuration is very important in order to meet wireless digital communication performance. Therefore, this paper reports on the analysis of insertion loss, return loss and isolation for three different configurations (Type A, Type B and Type C) of series-shunt SPDT switch at 2.4 GHz. In early stage of product development, the analyses have been performed in simulation software. As a result, Type C has shown better insertion loss and isolation in transmit and receive mode compared with other configurations.
