Abstract: This paper is about simulation of crack analysis on a plate with ellipse and small rivet holes. This simulation is show the condition on a plate which has 8 rivet holes around the ellipse hole. This dimension of the plat dimension, ellipse hole and rivet holes is set for one general condition. In this simulation, x-axis and y-axis force are applied to the plat. This simulation is shown the maximum equivalent von-Mises stress that occur on the ellipse and rivet holes. From the simulation, the crack is initiate from the small rivet holes .This is because the equivalent von-Mises stress that occurs on the rivet holes is the maximum value during the analysis of the plate. The simulation is perform using ANSYS software.
