Abstract: Presented here is a microstrip antenna designed for Ultra Wideband (UWB) with an achievement of return loss below -10dB beginning from 6.5 GHz to 10.5 GHz attaining a bandwidth of 4 GHz. It radiates omni-directionally with similar energy emission throughout the operating band. The key for bandwidth increment comes from the third layer rectangular resizing at the same time tuning the fork for better return loss. Thus an evaluation between simulation and practical method are shown.
