Eventhough the production of the essential oil of the polygonum minus are low, the need of its e ssential oil are still high out there. Based on othe problem facing, this project aims to evaluate the crop productivity base on concentration of fertilizer in a hydroponic solution, next the determination of dry matter accumulation during production cycle and lastly to asses the productivity of essential oil from each treatment. The plant were growth by hydroponic system in the polystyrene. There were four different treatment that use different conce ntration of nutrient solution that are placed in the polystyrene. The plant will be put into the lid of the polystyrene to allow the plant to grow on the solution. For the first treatment just used the pond water . The second treatment were use pond water with 10 mL of seaweed fertilizer. For the third treatment were use pond water with 20 mL of seaweed fertilizer. The fourth treatment were use pond water and 30 mL of seaweed fertilizer. The pond water that were use are 5 Litre for each treatment. The crop productivity are estimate through the observation of the growth of the plant along the periods of 12 weeks. The data that were collect or observe during the 12 weeks period are the average height of the plant on the weekly basis. After we harvested, some of the plant from each treatment were undergo the drying process and the result for the drying process were, for treatment 1 is 7.34 g, treatment 2 is 10.72 g, treatment 3 is 12.56 g and for Treatment 4 is 15.18 g and the another plant from every treatment were undergo the extraction process. The extraction process were use the steam distillation method. The result for the extraction were, Treatment 4 hold the higher volume of essential oil which is 4.8 mL, meanwhile for treatment 1, treatment 2, and treatment 3 is 1.5 mL, 2.3 mL and 3.5 mL. So for the conclusion, the higher the volume of the fertilizer the higher the production of the essential oil.en_US
