dc.description.abstractDynamic mechanical properties of hybrid sugarcane bagasse/rice husk (SCB/RCH) polymer composite with and without the presence of compatibilizing agent, MA-g-PP were studied. Hybrid polymer composite were prepared with compounding process by using twin screw extruder machine at different level of filler loading which is 15 wt%, 20 wt%, 25 wt% and 30 wt%). The dynamic parameters which is storage modulus (E’), loss modulus (E”) and mechanical damping factor (tan δ) versus as a function of temperature give the information associated with interfacial bonding between reinforcement of natural filler filled polymer matrix of hybrid composite. It was found storage modulus and loss modulus was increased meanwhile mechanical loss factor decreasing with the highest fibre filler content. Treated fibres shows good properties compared with untreated fibres. It was observed the tensile strength of the composite decreased by the increasing of fibre filler content. However the tensile strength was significantly improved with the addition MA-g-PP due to the better interfacial bonding between the natural fillers and matrix polymer. The morphology study proved that untreated composite the fibres was pulled out from matrix polymer compared with treated composite the filler was well embedded into the polymer matrix. FTIR analysis show covalent bond was established between natural filler and polymer matrix.en_US
