| Abstract: | The effects of different alkaline pretreatments parameters on removal of holocellulose and lignin features and accessibility are compared and correlated. The pretreatments are shown to modify holocellulose and lignin content to find the best condition of the alkaline pretreatment by using One Factor A Time (OFAT) method. It was observed in the study of effect of he best condition for each parameter was determined by the holocellulose content which was analysed after each of the alkaline pretreatment parameter. It temperature of the alkaline pretreatment solution, the best condition of the temperature was at 60 °C. As for the study of the effect of concentration of NaOH, the best condition was at 1.0 M and from the study of the effect of reaction time, the best condition was at 150 minutes. The study thus identifies the best condition for the parameter of temperature, concentration and reaction time of the alkaline pretreatment based of OFAT Method. |
