Adsorption of Methylene Blue using biomass or bioproduct of industries has concerned major intention by the researcher and industries. In this study, a method for treating wood chips using deep eutectic solvents (DES) was reported. This approach was proved to improve the surface area and the pores around these wood chips bigger and the adsorption process more effective. The surface and pores of this wood chips were analysed by using scanning electron microscope (SEM) which states that the porosity and surface area pretreated wood chips are larger than the untreated wood chips. Blue methylene dyes are also visible on the surface of the wood chips.en_US
