Abstract: Composting is a natural process that turns the organic material into dark rich substance. It used microorganism to degrade the organic material into simpler particle. Rice husk or rice hull is the outermost layer of rice. From 2 million tonnes of agriculture waste, major of it is rice husk. In this study, rice husk ash will be compost into fertilizer. Even though composting is lesser in budget, but it consider long period of time to compost the rice husk into fertilizer. Therefore in this study, indigenous microorganisms (IMO) been used to rapid the composting process. Indigenous microorganisms (IMO) is an organic additive that help to enhance the process of composting the rice husk. The objective of this study is to determine the effectiveness of indigenous microorganisms (IMO) in enhancing the composting process by study the parameter that influence the compost which is pH, moisture content, temperature and C/N ratio. Six bin been set up in this study which two of them does not have IMO. Based on this study, bin 1 and 2 which does not have IMO have the highest pH value compared to other bin that have IMO. Meanwhile, bin 5 which have highest concentration which is 750 g of IMO from bin 3 which is 500 g, 4 which is 250 g and 6 which is 500 g, have the highest NPK value which is 1:4:8 and moisture content which is 53.33% compared to the others. It also the fastest to reach ambient temperature which is on day 15.
