dc.description.abstract | Polystyrene aggregates is an imperative material in diminishing the unit weight of cement. Properties aggregate concrete, prevalent through the ages was accounted for to have a comparable or some times better durability even in disjoin presentation condition. The employments of polystyrene concrete has been progressively particularly in the development of elevated structure, off shore structure and long traverse spans because of the upsides of its low thickness, which results in a critical advantages as far as burden bearing components of littler cross area and a comparing decrease in the extent of the establishment. This chapter explain in details about the material, equipment and also the experiment procedure that will be carried out in this research work. There are several test will be carried out in this research which is slump test, compressive strength test also for curing test. For curing there will be 7 days and 28 days before go to compressive test. For particle size analysis, is test for amount weight of material, the amount being determined by the largest size of aggregate in top of sieve machine and will be shaking for 5 minutes. The result show that the higher slump test that had been done was 30 % replacement polystyrene with 60mm. for the compressive strength test for 7 days , can be conclude that the 10 % replacement polystyrene got the higher value with 27.73 N/mm2. For test compressive strength for 28 days show that the 10 % replacement of polystyrene with the high value, 28.823 N/mm2 compare to normal, 20% and 30%. | en_US |
