Abstract: Development of lake characteristics also known as Lake Brief is to assist and provide databases of lakes for lake managers and researchers in preparation towards the development of effective lake basin management. The development of physical and chemical characteristics of Timah Tasoh Lake aids to a new and updated database. The method of study begins with observation at the study site to identify any problems arises followed by water sampling and data analysing the chosen parameters which are temperature, turbidity, nitrate, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total solids, and total dissolved and suspended solids. From the investigation, Timah Tasoh Lake can be classified into Class IV because of its slightly polluted water quality based on National Water Quality Standards for Malaysia (INWQS) and DOE Water Quality Index Classification.
