This project presents the study on the effect of iron and sulphur in biohydrogen production. Biohydrogen process via dark fermentation can be used as renewable energy to substitute fossil fuel that decreasing every day. The combustion of the hydrogen give an advantage to water (H2O) which is more clean energy compared to fossil fuel. The objectives for this research is to investigate the influences of iron and sulphur with different concentration as essential elements in the biosynthesis of hydrogenase in the biohydrogen production. The pH, temperature, substrates, and the concentration of FeSO4 were also considered in this study. The hydrogen gas produced in the experiment will determined the successfull of this research. The result obtain give a positive result whereby the biogas production and the H2S produced evolved. The best production of gas is at concentration 0.8 g/L FeSO4 where approximately of 80.4 ppm is obtained. Overall the iron and sulphur give the effect and influent in hydrogenase in biohydrogen production.en_US
