Travel speed, journey time, mobility and safety is the common element that always related to the highway and traffic transportation. This is because the four elements has relation to the road user that used road every day in their life. According to that, the number of accident is increase from years to years relatively. Many programmed had been evented by the authorities to prevent and to control this issues. The purpose of this project is to study the relationship between travel speed, journey time, mobility and safety, to evaluate the level of awareness travel speed, journey time and mobility towards safety risk and to propose new speed limit at curve road for road user implementation. The study was carried out along road Federal Road 179 (F179) from Kangar to Kodiang. This road has spotted as a black spot area because it contributes high number of accident that has death cases and major injuries in three month continuously. Interview session with Police Traffic Officer and Public Work Department staff and questionnaire distribution to road users has been conducted. The collected data is interpreted in SPSS program to get the result. The results of this case study indicate that there has relationship between travel speed, journey time, mobility and safety that give factor for an accident when the R value is greater than 0.5, the level of the safety awareness is high when the mean score value is less than 3 and the new speed limit has been propose at curve area is 54km/h.en_US
