Malaysia is well known as the main crude palm oil producer and million tonnes of palm oil clinker (POC) is being produced every year with no commercial return on it. In this study, POC is used as LWA in concrete to study bond behavior between LWC and reinforcing bar. First, the beam anchorage bond test was conducted to study the bond stress with 350 kg/m3, 400 kg/m3 and 450 kg/m3 of cement content. Second, ribbed bar and plain bar are used in beam specimens with same test to study the effect on bond stress. During the bond test, the influence of mix proportions, types of bar, and some construction measurements on bond-slip behavior were compared and evaluated. The investigation demonstrates that bond stress between LWC and reinforcing bar increased around 21% to 26% while the peak slip decreases with every addition 50 kg/m3 of cement content. Besides, results shows the rib of rebar can help in improve bond stress. LWC with ribbed resulted 6% to 11% higher bond stress but lower bond slip compare to LWC with plain bar. Thirdly, the bond-slip model between LWC and reinforcing bar with higher cement content and others perimeters are proposeden_US
