Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the commercial value of waste as well as evaluating the physical properties of the asphalt pavement using waste (waste tires) as an additive in the mixing ratio set by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard. The main objective of this research is to produce a new product paving the way for improving the durability and strength of design standard road pavement. Physical properties were like water absorption, thermal stability and the rate of drying, density, compressive strength and skid resistance. The standard sample size used was in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard size. Specimens measuring 100 mm × 100 mm and 50 mm × 50 mm is used for finding data on the results of this study. As a result of the density of each specimen was 1800 kg/m3- 1900 kg/m3, which has great potential for use in road construction. Therefore, the study found that the use of 10% carbon black remaining in the mixing of asphalt pavement of the road is very nice. This is because carbon black can cover the remaining pores between aggregate. Thus, a specimen that road pavement will be more compact, low water absorption, low temperature on the road surface and the road will save motorists from the dangers when driving as a result of damage to roads.
