Abstract: The main aim of this reasearch was to produce lightweight aggregates which can be used as replacement for normal (natural) aggregates in structural concrete. Rice Husk Ash, Fly Ash and Quarry Dust was the main raw materials used in this study. Approximately 0.5 million tonnes per annum rice husk readily available in Malaysia.
Description: Dr. Khairul Nizar Ismail and his team won gold at 35th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, 18th - 22nd April 2007 organized by International Exhibition of Inventions on 18th - 22nd April 2007 at Palexpo Hall 7, Geneva, Switzerland.
