Abstract: The Intelligent Sensor for Reversing Vehicles comprises of a stereo camera (placed on the rear bumper of the car), a processing unit, a display unit and speaker (placed near the dashboard of the car). The cameras are activated during reversing, when a child (especially toddler) / object is detected in the blind zone of the vehicle, the driver is alerted by the system through a visual and audio alarm.
Description: Chengalvarayan Radhakrishnamurthy Hema dan ahli kumpulannya telah memenangi pingat emas di PECIPTA 2007 yang telah dianjurkan oleh Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia (KPTM) dengan kerjasama Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), 10 - 12 Ogos 2007 di Pusat Konvensyen Kuala Lumpur (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur.
