Abstract: The increase in the production of agriculture waste, especially paddy straw is a rising concern at different levels of the population. The issue becomes more serious in the northern region of Malaysia, where paddy is planted in large area. With the negative environmental effects of open burning on the atmosphere as well as numerous new regulations imposed on open burning, using paddy straw as a renewable resource is a good option. A technology has been developed to utilize the rice straw as an insulator panel for special niche application.
