Series/Report no.: Nanotechnology Workshop 'From Nano Structures to Systems'
Abstract: Nanotechnology deals with creation of useful/functional materials, device and systems of any practical size by manipulating matter at the nanoscale and importantly, by taking advantage of novel and interesting properties which arise solely because of the anoscale. This is a broad, enabling technology with expected impact on every aspect of the economic spectrum: electronics and computing, communications, health and medicine, energy, environment, transportation, materials and manufacturing, national security etc. This talk will provide an overview of nanotechnology commercialization efforts, citing examples in several of the above sectors.
Description: Organized by Universiti Malaysia Perlis, 5th - 7th 2010 at Brasmana Ballroom, Kuala Perlis, Perlis.
