Flooding is a natural disasters that occur due to factors such as climate or climatology temperatures, rainfall, evaporation, wind and the nature of the land. In Malaysia floods and flash floods happen in tradition, especially on the East coast of Peninsular during the monsoon season. Floods are usually caused either by continuous rain resulting in greater quantities than normal or abundant river water to the river banks or from both. The objective of this study was to analyze the rainfall data in Perlis by using Multi Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) and to study the effect of the amount of rainfall data in flood risk. The method for this study used is to take five parameters which are rainfall data for ten years in Perlis, land use, geology, residential area and surface water. Through each of these parameters, the map was produced by using GIS. The results obtained can be seen through a map where can see the entire area which has the potential to flood affected. The analysis rainfall in year 2004 shows that the ranking of flood risk is very low risk while in year 2010, the rainfall amount 2109.02 mm is potential of flooding had show in the results. In summary, the risk analysis can find out the cause of the flood as well as how to deal with the problem of flooding in the coming year.en_US
