Abstract: This paper gives the details of an intelligent mechanism of warp let-off in a warp knitting machine. The mechanism will be able to feed the different length of warp yarns according to the length which has been calculated according to lapping movement of the relevant fabric. The amount of yarn let-off by the system should be accurate as extra yarn or the shortage of the yarn can cause quality problems in the produced fabric. A classical controller is designed to get this object. Simulation results show that the designed controller doing well and the command input are tracked by the output.
