Abstract: This is a study of surface roughness during impact of water droplet impinging on a heated stainless steel surface. In this study, the effect of the droplet impingement on the surface were presented. The topic about the surface roughness were introduced in brief to provide basic information about the surface roughness itself. Then this report reviewed several past journal articles to explore in depth about the history of surface roughness study, and what issues that contributed to the making of this project. Besides, this report also focuses on the study of droplet impinging on a heated surface as well as the past studies of these two topics. From the journal review, the parameters related in this project were presented. Then, the methodology were planned which the research method was designed and also revised during the execution of the experiment itself. The apparatus for the project were explained briefly and the reasons why they are selected also were presented in this report. At the end of the report, the result that were obtained from the experiment were presented plus the analysis and comparisons that corresponded to the stated objectives.
