dc.description.abstractThe main idea of this particular project is to design the effective natural ventilation system. The design should meet the objective of the study which is to study on capturing wind for natural ventilation. In order to design a system to catch wind for natural ventilation the study on the characteristics of winds blows at low level have to been done. This is important to know the wind speed and the direction of wind flow throughout the year. To determine the suitable design in Malaysia several system of natural ventilation system have been study. Selection of the suitable design is determined based on several research for wind catcher system. Then solar chimney system is selected based on the system application and Malaysia condition. Mathematical method then use to make analysis on the system based on Malaysia weather. The result then achieved when the solar intensity make a huge effect on mass flow rate kg/s and velocity m/s inside the solar chimney system. The system however less effect when the solar intensity is below 400 W/m2.en_US
