Continuous improvement process (CIP) is a tradition of constant improvement focusing the elimination of defect and waste in all systems and processes of an organization. The defects and waste defined as anything that is not needed to produce the product or service. The purpose of this project is to blend together the Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing approach to eliminate the inconsistent weight of coffee pack in the nitrogen packing process of food based industries to achieve the stable weight of coffee pack and the Sigma level targeted by organization studied. The focus of this project is on the nitrogen packing process because the inconsistent weight of coffee pack is occurred at this process in packaging department. In order to encounter the inconsistent weight of coffee pack, the Six Sigma DMAIC problem solving and Lean manufacturing approach are used together. From the potential causes that identified, the Multivoting and Five Why method be used to find the root cause of the problem. The improvement tools was be apply in improve phases is Poka Yoke approach. The possible finding from this project is the defect problem in nitrogen packing process can be reduce or eliminated if the organization studied apply the proposed improvement model.en_US
