This project is mainly about design and development of an apparatus to carry the problematic motorcycle. The problem faced by PLUS maintenance workers is been solved by designing this device. Usually, the workers will lift up the motorcycle to the pickup trucks using hand and it takes more energy. The repeated works caused back pain and fatigue, thus caused the workers refused to do their works. These actions cause loss in works. Related to these problems, my project is about designing a new ergonomics and cost–effective product that has capability to carry the motorcycle in order to save time and energy. The available mechanism of existing products are studied and analyzed so that it can be applied to the new design. Product design specification and quality function deployment are done to measure and compare the existing products. Some concepts are generated and the best concept for final design is selected using concept screening and scoring. Besides that, selection on the best material and processing was conducted using DFMA. The static and kinetic forces are calculated which showed an acceptable force that human comfortable with and using only short time to transfer the motorcycle compared to the conventional ways. The cost will be calculate and some capabilities are compared with the other selected products.en_US
