Abstract: During the turning process, heat in generated at the edge of cutting tool. This heat is then dissipated through 4 parameter that is cutting tool, work piece, the chipped formed and the cutting fluid. In this experiment, the objective is carried out to studying the temperature measurement on the cutting tool. This experiment is about to examine the effect of different cutting speed and depth of cut on the tool during the turning process and the temperature generate on the cutting tool using infrared fluke camera. From this experiment it shows that the reading of heat generation influence by increment of cutting speed and depths of cut. The depth of cut gives more significance effect to the heat generation compare to the spindle speed.
