dc.description.abstract | This paper discusses a computer designed optical concentrator, which is providing efficient solar energy transfer to a Stirling Engine. The receiver can make line focusing onto the absorber of Stirling engine located at its truncated vertex. A prototype optical concentrator has been built and its functionality in a heliostat-Stirling system is demonstrated in University of Technology Malaysia. The computer-simulated characteristics of the receiver as well as the experimental data of its performance are included in this paper. | en_US |
