Sepak takraw is a ballistic open skill sport which is similar to tennis in order to win a point. This sport is considered a Malaysian national game. Like other team games, sepak takraw consist of two major elements, which are attack and defense. The main purpose of this game is to terminate a rally into the opponent’s court. This is usually achieved through superior ball control. The service, volley pass and spike are offensive skills. The server’s role is assumed to be the most crucial to the team’s overall performance because a good service is sometimes sufficient in starting and terminating rallies in order to gain point. The serve initiates a rally, and may be very effective in enabling teams to win easy point. Due to its obvious significance, serving is regarded as sepak takraw first dimension of offence. A good serve will score a point directly, whilst an accurate and well-placed pass is essential to set up the spike.en_US
